Assaults of courage - (session 3)
9 cind - We woke up and everyone of us were led out by force. It was dawn as we reach outside the cave. Our march have begun. We march for a couple of hours and we finally stop. Some of the orcs dumped some of our weapons there. The head orc said " You`ll have back some of your weapons but we will keep all your range weapon and all the shinny shinny stuff". He cut the ropes of one of Captain Holden`s men and left. One by one all our ropes were cut open. We began to strategize our plans to attack the Earthshakers. We`ve decided to send the monk to some of the orcs and attempt to ambush them.
The monk went ahead and after a while, he came back with 2 orcs. However the orcs sense us and flee. We jump off our hiding place and try to ambush the orcs but unfortunately failed. "This is bad" i thought. Now the Earthshakers knew that we`re after them. A quick plan were drawn and we decide to split up again. The 5 of us will head to the east gate and try to sneak into the settlement while the rest buy us time by draws the attention of the rest of the orcs on the west gate.
An hours past, we`re inside the orc settlement. We heard sounds of battle from the edge of the settlement. The monk, paladin and bard made an stupid move going towards the battle. They hide so badly that the women and children of the orcs notices them. The cleric and me have no choice but to back them up. In the process we killed 2 orcs and we flee to the cave on the north of the settlement. The cave is pitch black. I then conjured light spell on a stone nearby. With the light source, we venture into the darkness and deep into the cave. We reach a chamber and 2 orcs attack us. Everyone of us attack the orcs and the orcs were defeated however the paladin was hurt. Then a larger orc enter and hurt the monk. There were sounds of laughter from the orc and echoed by another laughter from behind. We killed the orc after much effort. Then we took some potions and the monkm cleric and paladin drank it. They were heal and we get ready for the next battle.
